Giving

There are many ways to get involved to create a partnership with the school. Volunteering and volunteer giving are wonderful examples of how to support daily life on at the school, as it sustains our programs and allows us to envision our future.

Voluntary giving is essential in maintaining the academic, spiritual and personal education that distinguishes Akiva School. Tuition alone does not cover all the expenses at our school which is why the school relies upon the generosity of parents, grandparents, parents of alumni, foundations, corporations and other friends of the school.

Your gifts help grow all the programs and experiences our students have both in the classroom and in the world. Together we can create the best learning experience for our children.

Please contact Cindy Warren, (cindy@akivaschool.com), in the school office school office at 514-939-2430, ext 108 to discuss your opportunities to give.

In Memory of Cooki Levy z”l

The Akiva community is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved former Head of School, Cooki (Frances) Levy z”l.

During her 23 years at Akiva School, Cooki touched the lives of so many Akiva families and staff and embodied the true spirit of our school. Through her vision, leadership and hard work, Cooki helped shape who we are as a school today and set our direction for the future.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Cooki’s husband, Dr. Barry Levy and children; Daniel (Debra) Levy, David (Karen) Levy and Dr. Jonathan (Meredith) Levy, and their respective families.

Baruch Dayan HaEmet.
