This week, Akiva School commemorated Yom Ha-Sho’ah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, with inspirational speakers, thoughtful programming, and meaningful projects. Grade 5 and 6 participated in a powerful Yom Ha-Sho’ah ceremony featuring two special guest speakers; Rabbi Poupko, spiritual leader of Congregation Beth Israel Beth Aaron and past leader of many March of Living trips, along with a Holocaust survivor and Akiva grandfather who spoke to the students about his experiences.
