The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby (2014). Review

The film "The Disappearance of Eleanor Rugby" originally had a completely different structure – two stories were shown at the Cannes Film Festival under the same name: "He" and "She". But the requirements of film distribution are tough, and director Ned Benson had to give the picture a completely trivial scheme. But the film did not lose its charm, primarily due to the play of a couple of wonderful actors: Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy. These are, of course, outstanding artists of the new pleiad. But it's not just about them, because the picture is very dynamic – events replace each other with incredible speed. The emotional intensity is great, both for the actors and for the audience. There is a real intensity of love between the main characters. <br />
The happy couple lives safely in the Manhattan area, but after the tragedy, the wife decides to leave her husband and start a new life. But their feelings are great, the lovers have not lost touch with each other. Life pushes them against each other again, but now they are different people and they need to start a new story. Already at the beginning of the story, the director plunges the audience into the abyss of feelings, passions and experiences. He, in fact, cares little about the breakup itself and the future meeting. It is much more important to Ned Benson what roads each of the lovers passes in himself. The picture looks in one breath.
