Commemorating October 7th at Akiva School
On October 7th, 2023, the world changed for Israel and the Jewish people. On Monday, Akiva School marked this day by remembering the unwavering spirit and strength of Israel, focusing on hope and healing, and praying for peace and return of the hostages. In an incredible show of support for Israel, students in grades 3 to 6 also participated in a global community Zoom session, organized by the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combatting Antisemitism, with 150 schools across North America and Latin America as well as Europe, South Africa, Australia, and Israel.
