Just a quick summary of some of the great things going on in Akiva classrooms:

In Grade 5:

In English class, the children were listening to a podcast written by an author in order to picture what the author was saying. They evaluated the descriptive language that was used-did the author succeed in painting the story? Using technology to inspire critical thinking-wow!

In Grade 1:

A teachable moment was seized to discuss how grade one students can act to support their friends in order to make better choices-and the conversation was all in French-Bravo!

 In Grade 6:

On Remembrance Day, during Hebrew class, the children were reading a French newspaper and talking about a special Hebrew prayer, “El Male Rachamim”-integration of our three languages at its best.
