The Akiva kindergarten program provides a well-rounded education that focuses on well-being and growth of every child. The program’s objectives go beyond academic achievement and emphasize the development of social-emotional skills, physical wellness, and creative expression. Through engaging and interactive activities, the program aims to foster the children’s curiosity, independence, and critical thinking skills. The program also prioritizes building positive relationships between children, teachers, and families to create a supportive learning community.
At the end our kindergarten program, students will have achieved several important educational milestones. In terms of academic learning, students will have developed a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy skills, including letter and sound recognition, basic reading comprehension, counting, and simple addition and subtraction. Additionally, students will have engaged in a variety of hands-on and experiential learning activities that promote creativity, problem-solving, and exploration.
In terms of Jewish learning, students will have developed an understanding and appreciation of Jewish traditions, values, and holidays. They will have learned basic Hebrew language skills and familiarized themselves with the Aleph-Bet. They will have explored the themes of Jewish identity and community, and developed a sense of pride and connection to their heritage.
Our kindergarten program prepares students for continued success in their academic and personal growth.
